We had freezing rain the other day (maybe it was yesterday, but it seems like it’s been longer already), and it’s insane. I didn’t get to take Scooter out for a walk yesterday, because it was more insane, icy, and freezinger by the time I got home from work. Today, I decided to brave it anyway, and it was awesome. I found out I have a sled dog, because Scooter almost could have drug me along behind him the whole way. So I gave in and did a shuffle/run behind him. Naturally, if you’re running on ice, you’re sliding, and there’s where the shuffle comes in. I’m sure it was hilarious to watch, but we had fun anyway.
Of course, I can’t write something without mentioning technology. Chrome is slick. Seriously, check it out.

Last month (June) and the month before (May), we had a lot of rain. To escape the flood in our basement, we jumped aboard the ark. Well… maybe not. But we wished we could. Instead we moved stuff here and there to escape the water that was continually streaming into the basement. Then it stopped, and there was peace (except the wind). Then, out of nowhere, we had a storm that lasted about 15 minutes. It certainly didn’t do 15 minutes worth of damage. It took several large branches off two of our trees, and there were branches down all over town. I’m not sure if they even qualify as trees anymore, as they’ve both lost about two-thirds of their branches to date (the front tree lost another large branch while we were on vacation-more on that later). To prove it, I took pictures.

Last week was also my first week working full time at Trinity Bible College. I work in IT (Information Technology, a fancy way of saying “I work on computers”) and am quite excited about my promotion. Right before the baby mollies were born, two of my bettas got in a fight, and one died (leaving me with 2). So I put the babies in the compartment where the betta was. Yesterday, we had a blizzard. It was awesome, since I love snow. It was unawesome (yes, “unawesome” is a word, because I just created it), because I had to haul my computer out in the cold for some LAN gaming at the school. The End. No really, stop reading. I mean it. Sorry, couldn’t resist typing one more sentence. Now I’m off, for real…and stuff.
