I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted on here. I’ve probably got some pictures I should be posting too, but that will have to wait. I’m now a licensed minister of the Assemblies of God. It’s kind of scary, and cool, all at the same time. I also moved into a new house. I no longer have internet there, so all my stuff is done on my work computer now. Like it makes a difference since I code everything from scratch. I’m getting more fish tomorrow, since I lost a whole bunch, and hopefully they make it here alive. That’s all.

Well, today started out pretty good. We went to Aberdeen and got Mandy’s ring back, but it needs to be smaller still, so that’s frustrating. We had a pretty good time overall though, but then I got home, and one of my fish was dead. I had him in quarantine, and he jumped out of the container and fell on the floor. So I sent him to fishy heaven. Tis sad, cause I was just going to move him to a bigger tank when I got home, and try to breed him and Elbereth this week. Oh well, I’m going to go eat an egg sandwich.

My red cambodian bettas finally showed up on Friday. Unfortunately, one of them arrived dead, but the guy I bought them from has graciously agreed to give me part of my money back. They are quite pretty, as you can see in the gallery. The pictures actually don’t do the male justice, although the female shows up quite nicely. Her name is Elbereth, which is elfin for something, it’s from LOTR, so look it up if your curiosity is getting the better of you. His name is Firefly, even if he is a fish, and not an insect.

software
Recently I discovered the stellarest program. Ok, maybe not THE stellarest, but it’s definitely up there. It’s free, and it’s funded by Google. Technically, it’s owned by Google, but I say “funded” because they bought the company, and kept all the employees, and pretty much let them run the project the way they see fit. Sorry, I digressify. The program is Picasa. It’s a photo manager. It will automatically scan selected folders for new pictures, and help you keep them organized. You can add comments to your pictures, do some simple touch-ups (red-eye, lighting, resizing, etc.), and coolest of all: it will do some nifty collages with just a few quick clicks. Sure, it’s not Adobe Photoshop, but it’s also free, and less bulky for people who really don’t need a lot of advanced features.
In other news, one of my recently acquired bettas is quite aggressive. It appears she even took on a male betta (and won). As a result, I lost two white clouds. It’s probably a good thing, since my tanks are about to become even more crowded than they already are. I’m getting 3 red bettas, with a few extras. The end. -
fish
Today I got a couple blue female bettas (fish, in case you didn’t know). They weren’t as bright colored as I expected, but it’s pretty amazing that they can ship these things all the way from California, to the middle of North Dakota. Pics are in the gallery, as usual. It seems the baby mollies can do just fine with the other fish, once they’ve gotten a little bigger, but I don’t think any of them would have gotten any bigger at all if I had left them be.
