A couple weeks ago, my uncle passed away. Now, don’t go crying for him. He’s in heaven, and not suffering anymore. For 21 years, he struggled with a disease called lupus. It made his life not too much fun, but he held on for one reason: he loved his family. It was not until he knew that they would be alright, that he let himself slip from this life into the next. So if you want to cry, cry for us. Those he left behind will have only memories and the knowledge that Jim is living a better life than us as consolation. Really, that’s not much to cry about, but if you really feel like crying, go ahead.

One of the other cool things that happened as a result of Jim’s timely end, is that his family was brought together once more. Many memories were recalled, and some were even relived. My dad took his sister out for a motorcycle ride one afternoon, and I’ve got the pictures to prove it.

Babies have the coolest toys…ever. This weekend I’m visiting my aunt and uncle, and my cousin is up from missouri, so I get to see their daughter, Kira, for the first time ever. I held her, she cried. Chrystine took her back, immediately, she was silent. For the rest of the night, we ate, and watched Kira play with all her toys. It’s dreadfully exciting, mostly because I wonder, “why didn’t I have cool toys like that when I was a baby?” Of course, even if I did, I wouldn’t remember them. In all, it’s been pretty exciting, but now I’m feeling rather uninspired.

Had the family over this weekend. It was crazy, and fun, and tiring, and after it was all said and done, I’m glad we did it. Got a lot done, got a new mower, realized I’m still not perfect, and ate lots of food. The yard looks amazing, thanks to Mandy’s parents. I’ll have to take some pictures and upload them. The first thing I need to do is completely revamp the gallery. Sad day, but it has to happen. I was using an unstable version of Gallery, and it finally caught up to me. So I’m going to start that as soon as i finish here.

I like snow. I even like ice. I just think it should stay off the road and keep out from under my tires. Mandy and I left for Nebraska on Thursday afternoon, and hit the worst weather ever near Pierre, South Dakota. We drove 45 mph for the next eon, and finally arrived in North Platte on Friday at 3:00 AM. Almost went in the ditch once, and that was exciting. At least the bad roads kept me awake.
We spent the majority of the weekend doing wedding “stuff”. It wasn’t too bad, and I’m still alive. I was actually excited to get back to work this time. We got all the parts for our new storage server, as well as 2 Kodak DX7630’s. It was awesome, and we had lots of fun today playing with our new toys. The edn (sorry, edn killed end in a drive-by shooting on Saturday).

Well, today started out pretty good. We went to Aberdeen and got Mandy’s ring back, but it needs to be smaller still, so that’s frustrating. We had a pretty good time overall though, but then I got home, and one of my fish was dead. I had him in quarantine, and he jumped out of the container and fell on the floor. So I sent him to fishy heaven. Tis sad, cause I was just going to move him to a bigger tank when I got home, and try to breed him and Elbereth this week. Oh well, I’m going to go eat an egg sandwich.
